Thursday, June 1 is full of marketing and platform training with literary agent Cyle Young, who has grown his platform to almost half-a-million in less than two years.

Friday, June 2nd & Saturday, June 3rd are genre training days. 

Two Bonus Calls!

As part of the Intensive experience, you'll be able to participate in a pre-conference video call with the other attendees and instructors to answer questions and help you prep.

Additionally, you'll receive a post-conference video call with your genre track group.

Literary Agent Cyle Young has sold over 300 books for his clients in his career, is the author of Michigan Motivations, and has built his own platform to over half-a-million followers in less than two years.

Johnnie Alexander

Bestselling novelist Johnnie Alexander writes in multiple fiction genres and has successfully navigated both traditional and indie publishing.

Bethany Jett

Literary Agent Bethany Jett has won awards for 100% of her nonfiction books (from YA trade to adult inspirational) including The Cinderella Rule, her ghostwriting, articles, and marketing.

Crystal Bowman

Bestselling author Crystal Bowman has written more than 100 books for children. She also writes lyrics for children’s piano music and stories for Clubhouse Jr. magazine. Lodging

Room for two nights is included in the cost of registration.

The Lodge at Youth Haven is a faith-based ministry for disadvantaged children with campus lodging facilities and is not a hotel. They do not allow smoking or alcohol, and pets are not allowed inside the buildings. As part of their policy, they will have a 30-minute children's presentation at 11:30 AM on Saturday.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in begins at 10 AM on Thursday, June 1, 2023 and check-out is Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 12 PM.

Private Room Option

Private rooms with one queen bed will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Once those are taken, rooms with one queen bed and one twin bed will be assigned.

Share-a-Room Option

"Share-a-rooms" are comprised of one queen bed and one twin bed. If you are sharing a room, both parties must indicate each other in the roommate field during registration. If you need assistance finding a roommate, Serious Writer will attempt to match you (based on biological sex). If a roommate cannot be found, you will need to upgrade to a private room cost.

Transportation

There is no shuttle service for this event. Transportation to-and-from the event is "on your own," so in order to help you connect with other attendees who may be driving or willing to carpool, we have a Facebook group set up. Please join it here.
